Advantages of the Down-Sunk Table 4 Axis CNC Router
The BCAM down-sunk table 4 axis CNC router is engineered for manufacturers who need more flexibility, higher accuracy, and stable performance for 3D work. Its recessed table design provides extra vertical space, making it ideal for large foam blocks, tall molds, multi-layer panels, and deep cavity machining without spindle interference. With a ±90° swing spindle and industrial-grade components, it delivers smooth motion, clean edges, and reliable results in continuous production.
Here are the key advantages that make this model a powerful and cost-effective 4-axis solution for modern workshops:
1. Down-Sunk Table for Deeper and More Stable Machining
The recessed table design provides a lower working position, giving the spindle more clearance to process:
Tall molds and thick foam blocks
Deep cavities and long toolpaths
Large 3D sculptures and curved surfaces
Multi-angle cuts without collision
The lowered center of mass also reduces vibration, ensuring strong stability during high-speed machining.
2. True ±90° 4-Axis Rotation for Complex 3D Jobs
Equipped with an Italian HSD spindle that rotates ±90°, this 4 axis CNC router performs advanced tasks that standard 3-axis machines cannot achieve:
Angle milling and edge trimming
Side drilling and horizontal slotting
3D contouring and curved surface finishing
Undercut machining and multi-side shaping
This makes it a perfect solution for foam mold manufacturing, furniture components, artistic sculptures, industrial models, and prototype production.
3. 10mm Heavy-Duty Steel Frame for Long-Term Accuracy
The machine body is constructed from thick, welded steel that has been stress-relieved for maximum rigidity.
Benefits include:
Zero deformation over years of operation
Stable performance during deep cutting
Reduced vibration at high speed
Ideal support for large-format materials
It is built to run continuously in professional workshop environments.
4. More Affordable Than a 5-Axis Machine, but Powerful Enough for 3D Work
The down-sunk table design and ±90° spindle provide many of the functions of a 5-axis CNC at a fraction of the cost.
You get:
Multi-direction machining
Complex 3D shaping
Deep mold processing
High-precision carving
This makes the machine a smart choice for businesses that need 3D capability without the heavy investment of a full 5-axis system.
5. Industrial Transmission for High Speed and Smooth Motion
To ensure fast and stable production, the router uses:
Helical rack and pinion drives on X and Y
Taiwan TBI ball screw on Z
25mm Hiwin linear bearings with four-row blocks
These components provide:
Rapid travel up to 80m/min
Working speed up to 60m/min
Clean edges and smooth curves
Low noise and long service life
Perfect for wood, MDF, acrylic, foam, composite panels, and more.
6. Automatic Tool Changer for Continuous Workflow
With an 8-position linear ATC (expandable), the machine automatically switches tools during machining.
Advantages include:
Faster production cycles
No manual tool changes
Accurate tool-length compensation
Efficient multi-process cutting
Ideal for cabinet manufacturing, mold making, 3D carving, and large-batch production.
7. Syntec Control + Yaskawa Servo System for Reliable Performance
This router is powered by:
Syntec 60WE professional CNC controller
Japan Yaskawa servo motors with Shimpo reducers
You get:
Smooth motion
Fast acceleration
Excellent repeatability
Stable multi-layer 3D machining
It maintains high precision even during long, complex jobs.
8. Hybrid Vacuum & T-Slot Table for Flexible Workholding
The combination of vacuum suction and T-slot clamping allows you to secure both sheet materials and irregular workpieces.
Benefits include:
Strong hold for large boards
Easy fixture installation
More stable positioning during angled cutting
Higher machining accuracy

FAQ: Down-Sunk 4 Axis CNC Router
Q1: Why choose a down-sunk table instead of a standard 4 axis CNC router? A down-sunk table offers extra Z space, ideal for tall molds, deep cavities, and oversized foam blocks.
Q2: Can this machine replace a 5-axis CNC router? For many mold and foam applications, yes. It provides similar machining height at a much lower cost. But for undercuts and highly complex angles, a full 5-axis is still necessary.
Q3:What is the main difference between a down-sunk table and a standard 4 axis CNC router?
A down-sunk table provides extra vertical machining height, allowing the spindle to move deeper without hitting the material. This makes it ideal for tall foam blocks, deep molds, and large 3D structures.
Q4:Does it support automatic tool changing?
Yes. It is equipped with an 8-position linear ATC (options available for more positions), allowing fast and precise tool changes during multi-step machining.
Q5:Can the machine be customized?
Yes. BCAM offers custom table sizes, longer Z-axis, rotary attachments, additional ATC positions, dust collection systems, and more to match your production needs.
Q6:What after-sales service does BCAM provide?
We offer global technical support, online troubleshooting, operation training, spare parts supply, and long-term maintenance guidance. Local service partners are available in many countries.
Q7:How long is the machine’s lifespan with regular use?
With proper maintenance, the core components—HSD spindle, Hiwin guides, and Yaskawa motors—can last many years, often over 8–10 years in typical factory use.

We’ve been running the BCAMCNC edge bander in our mid-sized cabinet shop for about 5 months now. It’s not perfect – we had to tweak the glue temperature settings for thicker ABS edges – but once dialed in, it’s been solid. The automatic corner trimming works about 90% of the time (still needs occasional manual touch-ups on tricky curved pieces). What really stands out is the build quality – no loose components after daily 8-hour shifts like we experienced with our previous machine. For the price point, it’s been a reliable workhorse that’s cut our edge banding time by nearly half

Our workshop specializes in carbon steel and aluminum fabrication, and the BCAMCNC fiber laser cutter has exceeded expectations! It delivers razor-sharp cuts on 1-20mm carbon steel and 0.5-15mm aluminum with impressive speed (±0.05mm precision). The intuitive interface reduced operator training time by 40%, while the sealed cutting head minimizes oxidation on aluminum. Maintenance is surprisingly simple – just weekly lens cleaning. After 6 months of heavy use, it remains our most reliable investment for aerospace-grade results.

I wanted a CNC router for woodworking, as well as a drag knife for cutting foam, cardboard, rubber, and some sealing materials, so I ordered the BCM2030C and so I did not have to purchase two machines. So far everything is running as expected. The only issue was the controller switching, so I reached out to BCAMCNC tech support and they were responsive and did an excellent job of diagnosing and debugging the software in a timely fashion.

Perfect for sign-making! The 15kW spindle powers through 50mm acrylic without chipping. The auto-calibration feature is genius and the 12-tool magazine handles all our bits. BCAMCNC shipped it with spare parts (belts, nozzles) which was a nice touch.

Finally, a 5-axis that understands wood! The F-PTP’s low-RPM/high-torque spindle prevents walnut tear-out, and the dust extraction ports are RIGHT where chips fly. We produce Baroque-style chair legs with undercuts in one setup. BCAMCNC even sent custom clamping jigs for our odd-shaped blanks.
